Oncology Massage: Compassionate Touch for Clients Living with Cancer*

In this 24 hour class, you will learn how to safely work on clients living with cancer, indications and contraindications, how cancer spreads, cancer treatments and their side-effects, post-mastectomy scar-tissue work, disease and treatment-related adjustments, as well as have the opportunity to work in a clinical setting on a person who is currently undergoing treatments for cancer or is in remission. Upon successful completion of this class, you will have mastered the skills necessary to integrate these techniques into your massage treatments immediately.

Raindrop Technique for the LMT*

In this 8 hour class, you will learn the history and use of essential oils, benefits of Raindrop Technique, indications, contraindications, and the techniques involved in the treatment. Raindrop Technique is a very relaxing treatment involving the use of 9 different therapeutic grade essential oils and essential oil blends that are applied as drops up the spine feeling like raindrops. Upon successful completion of this class, you will have mastered the skills necessary to integrate these techniques into your massage treatments immediately.

Reflection in Education for Massage School Instructors and Administrators

Learn 5 techniques to self-evaluate/reflect on your classroom teaching for strengths and challenges plus get tools to overcome your challenges. A beneficial training for both seasoned and new educators, you don’t even have to be a massage instructor to gain great knowledge and skills in this class. Anyone who teaches Massage Education, Massage School Administrators/Directors, or instructors in any field of Adult Education can benefit from this information. Upon successful completion of this class, you will have mastered the skills necessary to integrate these techniques into your teaching immediately. Administrators will have the skills necessary to improve the Instructor Evaluation/Observation processes required by accreditors such as COMTA, ACCET, COE, etc..

Ethics of Touch for the LMT


This class fulfills the 2 hour Ethics requirement for the Florida Board of Massage Therapy which all LMTs in the State of Florida need (except for the first renewal for new therapists). Topics covered include: dual relationships, boundaries, communications, and ethical dilemma resolution techniques..

This class is an expanded version of the Ethics of Touch for the LMT. It fulfills both the Florida Board of Massage Therapy requirements for re-licensure as well as the NCBTMB requirements for re-certification.

Florida Laws Review for the LMT


This class fulfills the 2 hour Laws & Rules requirement for the Florida Board of Massage Therapy which all LMTs in the State of Florida need (except for the first renewal for new therapists). Topics covered include highlights and most frequently and unintentionally broken “Laws & Rules” from: FS 456 and 480 (the Massage Practice Act) as well as f.a.c. 64B-7 (Board of Massage Therapy Rules). There will also be a Question and Answer portion of this class so bring along any questions you might have to class. .

Topics covered include “Laws & Rules” from: FS 456 and 480 (the Massage Practice Act) as well as f.a.c. 64B-7 (Board of Massage Therapy Rules). There will also be a Question and Answer portion of this class so bring along any questions you might have to class.

Class Registration Details


*These CE courses may be taken by students currently enrolled in massage therapy school and the general public, however no CE credit will be issued unless you are a massage therapist.

**Class Locations are determined by the number of registrants per class.  We limit class sizes from 4 – 20 students, depending on the class, but have several locations to best accommodate different class sizes and content.  All classes are held in Sarasota, FL unless requests are made to bring our training to your location.

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your registration for a class more than one week before start date of the class, the entire tuition will be refunded.
If you need to cancel your registration for a class within one week of the start date of the class, all but $50 will be refunded and the $50 may be applied to a future class.
